I had a notebook from them. This device seems to be very capable. With TV tuner input and ultra compact design.1099 is realtively high for a PC but I think they used notebook components to produce a desktop PC.

i don't know about mac mini killer. equally configured mac mini (dual core 1.66, 1gb ram, 100gb SATA) is $949. Has a faster dvd-rw but it doesn't have tv input. looks alot nicer too and can dual boot.

Seems like a rip off since you can get a laptop with the simliar specs for less. You'd think these things would be cheaper than the equivalent laptop since it doesn't have a screen.

You'll need to add about $150 for an external TV Tuner for the Mac, which won't look as nice. Also, the PVR functions aren't bult into the OS, like they are in MCE. Although, maybe Apple will finally decide to include a real multimedea suite in Leopard.

In case anyone was wondering, there's a new $99 Mac TV Tuner out here. Comes with remote and DVR software, too. So trying not to thread-crap too much, but the Mac's still cheaper than this, plus you get a faster DVD burner and better OS, useful applications, and free professional-level programming suite.
