ahh crap, my logitech keyboard playback controls don't work anymore...

edit: ok...really weird, after I switched back to the MMD3 skin, my itouch media controls work again??

My iTouch controls are only working with Winamp 5, 2 and 3 didn't like the buttons.

Weird, my iTouch buttons always worked with winamp 2. It used to work also with WMP, but somehow it stopped. Oh well, I like it better this way.

Itouch only works with a few players listed on their site, i wish it would work with itunes.....🙁

Whats with the AAC support in Winamp 5? I noticed it was an option during install, so I left it check.. but all I can seem to find is that it rips from CD to AAC.. I tried playing a .mp4 (AAC file created in iTunes) but nothing happend.. Cant see an AAC decoder on the Input page either..

Edit: ahh i see now, its just the AAC Encoder.. interesting.. I guess its cool to make files you cant use.. yet... shrug.

ok one thing i don't like is if you are using it w/ dual monitors, you have it on the secondary monitor, you point at a button to get a tooltip, and the tooltip appears on the primary monitor?

Here is what I found so far that is a bug or I just plain find annoying.

1) Even if I turn it off it'll crossfade between tracks when I run it again.
2) The playlist no longer shrinks to 1 line.
3) No option to autoplay the list when winamp starts.

Not sure why your playlist doesn't shrink down to 1 line for you... it does that just fine on my install of Winamp5.
[Edit]Looks like it's dependent on which skin you're using[/Edit]

Question: When I try to scroll in the playlist with my scrollwheel, it changes the volume... can I fix that somehow?
You sure you clicked in the playlist window first, and that it's expanded? It'll change the volume if you have the playlist window shrunk down to 1 line, but if you expand it and click somewhere in the playlist window, it should scroll through the playlist.

how big/bloated is this winamp?

i hope it didnt go from a 1.5mb minimalist mp3 player to a 5mb do-it-all spammed bloatware

It can decode ACC, but not the secure format that the iTunes uses, as apple would not hand them the code for it.

Do you know how to encode files? I can adjust settings, but I cant figure out how to encode. Is that lacking in the BETA release? or is it lacking in the Non-Pro version also.. (mp3 encoding is lacking in the non-pro version but AAC is 'available' - leading me to believe its just not added to this BETA)

Go to the Library, right-click on the drive, select "rip all tracks." That should do it.
