WinAMP5 Beta Released | Much better than the last release

Of course, this has nothing to do with the release of iTunes. 😉

Thanks, checking it out now.

heh, very sharp! only thing i dont like is how the EQ is skinnier than the rest of it. I can grab a diff't skin though.

It's awesome, but as a user of Winamp 2 it's kinda pointless. I mean I really don't care about the interface additions, and since there is still that annoying pause in-between playlist tracks there is no point in using 5 over 2 for me.

Nice skin, quick loading...only reason it's not gonna be my default audio player is because there's no support for Monkey's Audio yet.

Last I heard, the guy in charge of Nullsoft, forget his name, said he would leave Nullsoft because AOL was too controlling...any update to this?

He decided to stay and complete winamp 5

I think AOL is missing the boat here.... Winamp has to be one of the (or THE) most popular players out there, and they havent seemed to be able to monetize that. I dont know, seems like it would be the logical step, especially with the legions of sheep that continue to use AOL even today.

Hmmmm...excellent. I saw it early and left the page up to remind myself when I got home, but the computer decided to reset itself. Here's to hoping that it's not as slow loading as the alpha was!

If you're talking about pause in-between mp3's... that's inherent in mp3's. It's not a winamp thing.

It looks nice.

I have a question: Why does everyone hate Winamp3? I've been using it since it came out and haven't had a single problem.
