Winamp5 and media keyboard keys not working?

Does anyone else have the problem that Winamp5 no longer responds to the multimedia keys on keyboards? It works fine with Winamp 2 (never tried v3.0 since it sucked). I'm using a MS Natural Multimedia keyboard. I know of at least one other person with this problem and he has a different keyboard. Any input would be appreciated.

It's likely due to the fact that Winamp5 is a new release and is not an application supported in the multimedia keyboard drivers.

I had this same problem with my Logitech multimedia keyboard when I updated Winamp v2.91 to WA5. Every key worked like a champ in WA2, but none worked with WA5. The latest version of Logitech drivers didn't support WA5, so I lost control of it.

You'll probably have to wait until MS updates their keyboard software or drivers.

It seems to work for me with the latest Logitch iTouch drivers.

I have winamp version 2.81 and the media keyboard hot-keys don't work with that version. Are you sure in works with ver. 2.91?

If so, is that version still available for download?

Try re-installing the iTouch drivers again

grumble, reinstalled windows and now it doens't work. go figure.

There is no updated version of the intellitype software, I'm using version 5.0 and still can't get it to work with winamp 5.01, even with the winamp window in focus. Thankfully winamp 5.0+ has the tray control which helps but I'd rather just be able to push the buttons on my keyboard. Anyone have any ideas? Also, I thought about trying the iTouch software on the MS keyboard just for fun, but haven't yet, anyone done this? I know some people use the ms intellipoint software on their logitech mice so I figured it wouldn't hurt.
