Winamp

I just reformatted my computer and I've never had this problem. When I use the winamp volume control, it changes the master volume on my computer -- not just the music volume in winamp. Is there somewhere to turn this off? It's mostly noticable when I use ventrilo and winamp. Thanks.

I've noticed the newer versions of AOLamp have gotten increasingly more horrible.

My guess is you are using a newer sh!ttier version that AOL thinks should have system volume control.

Try grabbing one of the older 5.0x versions.

I use 5.092 & i refuse to get the newer ones, since they are getting more & more bloated.

Mine's volume doesn't do system-wide volume adjust either.

Solved --- In the winamp preferences under Output plugins, it was set on waveOut output. I changed it to DirectSound and it works fine now.
