Winamp Volume control doesn't work.

I have a CD ROM and a CDRW in this Compaq. Just received my replacement CDRW. Stuck it in. Connected it up, audio cable hooked up. Seems to work ok...

But...

When I play a music CD in the CDRW (4x4x32, Philips) the volume slider in Winamp doesn't effect the volume. You can use the SB128 mixer volume control and that works.

The slider in Winamp does work when playing a music CD on the other CDROM, a Lite-on.

Anyone know why? The volume slider won't work on the CDRW?

Thanks, MAc
