I have a lot of my music in flac and was wondering if there is a way to get Winamp to do on-the-fly audio transcoding from flac to mp3 or WMA when I want to move something to my Zen Stone.
Anyone know?
Does anyone know if the packaged Creative software can do it or another program that could?
The last one that I used successfully for this task was Banshee and it did a really good job, but that is only under Linux and I have since switched back to Windows exclusively (from being almost Linux exclusive for a few months; reasons for switching back can be found in the *nix forum).
Edit (1-31-09): Winamp Free cannot convert files to mp3, WMA, or M4A. I'm solving my problem by installing foobar and the LAME encoder .exe and having it convert all my flac files on my laptop to .mp3 versions for when I need them for my portable audio player(s) (to be stored on my external drive).
