Winamp playlist & Shuffle?

Is it just me or does it seem like Winamps(2.80) shuffle function isn't quite right? It seems like I'm always hearing the same songs over and over, never any variety. My playist is about average size (650 songs) but there's some songs I almost never hear.

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice this? Also, anyone have any idea how Winamp 3.0's Shuffle function is?

I have never found a player with a decent shuffle myself.
Would sure like to know if there is a fix for it or something!

Randomize the list first.

I get this too...and my playlist is about 2000+ songs.

I suppose I could randomize it first...but wouldn't that just be like a manual shuffle? I'd rather find something that actually picks the songs randomly.

Besides, I like to keep my playlist in alpha order so I can pick songs when I'm in those moods to hear certain songs without having the need to dig.

Windows Media Player 8 (WMP8) does it right. Winamp sucks big time. I had to uninstall the Winamp dog because it screws up your computer half the time. Well, Winamp does place some neat BOTs onto your hard drvie. Have fun!

Windows Media does the same thing!
My playlist is like 3000-4000 songs and it plays about 8 over and over.
Seems to be more intermitent with WMP.

he is right 😉 windoes media player is awesome for shuffle, i have wm8 and i have 654 songs in it, i never hear the same song in the entire time i am playuing it. 🙂 Winamp sucks the fatty major:disgust:
