Is this true? I thought Winamp was fairly popular.

reading that article reminds me of when there was only winamp and sonique, which were the only mp3 players people cared about. the sonique interface was AWESOME

I love Winamp (long live those MMD skins) and it just outright pisses me off that AoL has managed to screw over yet another innovative product: Time Warner, Netscape and now Winamp. The worst thing that has happened to the internet was AoL.

I kind of laugh to myself about those new lame AoL commercials about how AoL can make the internet better for their customers - best thing they can do is called Chapter 7.

I don't know which player I want to move to. Windows media player always seems to be too bulky and all of the wrong features.

OMFG this makes me mad :| :| :| :|

I hate AOL.

Winamp may not be the best audio player out there, but overall, i love it.

This suxors 🙁

i used winamp for a long time, but with winamp 5, the shuffle started pissing me off. recently switched to foobar. now only if somebody made a better interface for foobar.

Time Warner isn't a product and it's AOL

Well yeah Time Warner was not a product, but look at what happened to the stock after the AoL/Time Warner merge. Even Time Warner dropped AoL from the 'official' name for the most part.

omg. I hope your face dies 😛 jk

I agree that there are better players, but I'll probably always use WinAmp... it meets my needs 100%. no other MP3 player comes close for me.
