Winamp 5.1 - problems

Leros

I upgraded to the new Winamp 5.1 and its using 98% of my CPU. Anybody else?

Whats a good older version to go back to? I only need it to play mp3s.

I checked out the old 2.9x versions. They seem great, but I like the larger size of Winamp 5. I ended up getting 5.08.

Anyway I can get the larger size of Winamp with winamp 2.9x?

Eh, Winamp 5.08 is consistently using less than 1% of my processing power (reports as 00 in task manager). Good enough for me.

Winamp 5.1 is only using 2-4% of my cpu right now while I'm listening to Talking Heads-Road To Nowhere. Have you been tweaking Winamp, there are some options you can mess with that'll chew up some CPU cycles.

Nope. I just downloaded the new 5.1 version. Didnt touch a thing. I am running the audioscrobbler plugin.

Anyway, reverting back to 5.08 made my cpu usage go down to less than 1%. So, I'm apparently doing ok with it. I didnt like some of the new features of 5.1 anyway.
