Hi, I need major help. I installed Win98se on my AMD K63-450, Asus P5ab mobo, and when I click start>shutdown, gave me this error:
"An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C26071D4 in Vxd. This was called from 0028:C182C8D8 in Vxd."
Any suggestions?

Heh, wrong forum? =) But maybe you have to turn off Advanced Power Management off, usually helps.

😕
I installed the shutdown patch from microsoft, disabled Advance power mgt.,turned off PCI steering from device manager, didn't work.
Now, it's giving me this error:
"An exception OE has occurred at 0028:C00014AD in Vxd. This was called from 0028:C182C918 in Vxd.
I give up. I ordered WIN ME upgrade yesterday. I'll install it and see what happens.

I have the same problem, though it only occurs after I played a game... doesn't matter what game either... normal WIN programs don't cause this.
