i recently partioned and installed win2k. i have programs from win98, and when i run and install them on win2k (wanted to see if it would work), they work

however, is this ok to do, or should i download completely new programs? i noticed the bitesize for a prog is the same under 98 as it is 2k

any help would be appreciated. thanks

You can go here to check which programs work under win2k...

But of course it is always better to get software that is specifically designed to work under win2k...

Win 32 apps should be 100% compatible with any 32 bit version of Windows. The only time you might have issues is with games because the Windows 2000 video card/sound card drivers aren't as good as their Windows 9x/ME counterparts.
