Win98 setup disk question

Right now, I use a floppy to boot setup & installation for my Win98 CD.
Can I burn a replacement cd so I can chuck my 1.44 floppy drive?

Yes you can. I know how to do it with easy CD creator. Put the bootable floppy disk in the drive. Start Easy CD Creator and select Data CD. After CD Creator is started on the "New" icon you should find a small drop down list kind of thing. Click on it and select "Bootable CD".

You should be all set.

If you do not have Easy CD creator, search on the web for "Creating bootable CD"

I have an HP cd-writer 9500 series.
I wonder if I can use Easy cd-creator assuming I can download it.

My HP comes with HP-CD Writer and MyCD.

It seems Easy CD Creator doesn't come with my own CD-Writer, and I can't download it. If the software that comes with HP's Writer won't even support creating a bootable cd, then I've got the wrong CD writer.
Time to take it back.

I don't know about the returning part, but making a bootable CD is no big deal. There are software (freewares) that can make bootimg files. If you want, I can email the bootimg files for win98 to you and try making a bootable CD.

An easier option probably is to download nero trial version from www.nero.com
