I've been trying to tweak things to get my win98se to boot as quickly as possible. Question(s) though..
If I turn off verbose mode on my adaptec aha-2940u2w card (and several other drivers) this wouldn't speed things up any, it would just supress the text output, correct?
I already turned off the win splash screen, deleted unwanted fonts and set bootdelay=0... anything I'm missing? It's not painfully slow or anything, I'm just an impatient jerk and would like it as fast as I can possibly get it
Also, I tried adding "old school" dos tweaks to my config.sys & autoexec.bat like dos=high, umb and trying to cram everything possible into high memory - only to check the files and find that something has added the line:
Rem TShoot:
before each of the newly added commands.
Any idea what added that and how I can stop it from happening again?
Thanks!!!
