VERYONE I have tried ICS setup with no luck. When the install wiz gets to the point internet connection sharing general tap. Connect to the internet using (picture of a phone) I cant type in the box and nothing comes up from the arrow, empty blank. In the second box I can install my nic card (connect to my home network) Because the is no info in first box it make the settings. This computer has has no modem I an trying to connect to another computer on my lan with a modem. What am I doing wrong. I have not installed internet connection sharing on the computer with the modem. It is dial up.

If I remember correctly you install ICS on the system that has you modem....as long as your network is setup properly you don't install anything on the 2nd computer.
Ya might have to set the other computer to connect via LAN....in internet options.

Running ICS here on my home lan with cable going out to the world. Big world of advice on this... Get your network setup and have all your boxes talking to each other prior to setting up ICS. Run the ICS wizard on the puter that is connected to the interent and take the disk it makes to all the other computers on your lan.

and also depending on how you are dialing to the outside world. If you are using aol bind it with aol or if you are using dialup, bind it with Dial up adapter.

My network is setup and running fine. I'm using tcp/ip base 100 with a 100 hub. All computers see each other, network printer is working. I am using a 56k modem explorer 5.5 with msn. Still no luck
