Win98 sees my second hard drive as a removable disk not a hard drive. It is slaved to main HD. Both are maxtors, but different models. Both are recognized by MB during bootup. Any ideas how to fix this?

First try Control Panel/System/Device Manager...check the properties for the drive in question, Settings, and uncheck the box that says Removable

That did it. Thank you very much CRV :) While doing this I noticed that the DMA was unchecked for primary drive. It is an ATA66 drive but the MB only supports 33. I tried to check it but on reboot the check is gone.

It is a FIC-503+. It does support it. Funny thing is that the HD that windows said was removable(ATA33) had the DMA checked.
