Win8. ClassicShell vs. "Desktop" tile ?

I have never used Win8.
I heard you need to install ClassicShell to keep the Win7 Start button desktop
Today, I saw Win8 and the "Desktop" tile.
Why would you install ClassicShell when you can just click the "Desktop" tile ?

The Classic Shell program actually gives you a Start menu similar to the one in Windows 7 (there's nothing remotely like it in Windows 8 by default). It has several other options including completely disabling the Windows 8 START page and some of the other more annoying "features" of Windows 8.

I find that the desktop tiles are just an added layer between me and my programs. Besides that, they are simply ugly and require reading. It is truly designed for touchscreens.

Use Windows 8 and the need for classicshell becomes immediately apparent

All that click does is take you to the program, then you have to click again. You just went through a lsyer that the shell bypasses. It is more efficient to just click on the program icon in the first place.

The whole idea of using a GUI interface is to get to do the least amount of clicking as possible and the win 7 interfacee is just fine. making people click more to get things done is tedious at best.
