Anyone else with an Optimus-equipped 1st-gen Intel mobile Core (i5) laptop, or with a Centrino wireless 1000-n 802.11bgn adapter getting a "0xC1900101 - 0x20017" or similar failure on the first reboot after install?

MS send me the troubleshooter, which doesn't actively do anything toward getting my system updated to 8.1. Just wondering if other are having this issue AND if there is a known work-around or solution. Thanks.
