win32k.sys BSOD *How to update ram voltage*

As many of you know I have recently built a new computer that has been giving me lots of trouble. I'm up and running in windows now, so I've made it pretty far, but I'm not there yet. I keep getting a bsod crashes giving me the errors 0x00000050 or 0x0000008e and it always points to win32k.sys as well. I don't think my ram has anything to do with it though, I memtest86ed it and got 60,0000 errors with both sticks, took one out got 60,000 errors still. Took that stick out put the other in and got 0 errors. So my memory doesn't seem to be the problem (I have only the 0 errors stick in now). I'm thinking it might be my on board network card (3com gigbit lan 3C940), because it always happens when I'm on the internet. But its not to often that I'm not on the internet, almost always on AIM atleast. If you guys have any ideas as to what can be causing this and to how I can fix it, I would be very appreciative.

Specs:
P4C 3 ghz 800 mhz fsb
Asus p4c800 mobo (whatever bios version it came with)
Windows XP (no SP 1)
Radeon 9800
256 DDR 400 OCZ Ram
MSI 52x Burner
Sony 8x DVD Drive
WD 40 gig 7200 rpm HDD
Antec 350 watt PS
The only drivers I have installed as of now are the chipset drivers and the network card drivers, no sound or video or anything else.
 
And I'll give the bios update a try. Should I just use the bios update that came on my mobo's cd?

and how do I go about updating my vdimm?

Usually it's an option under a kind of advanced settings collection tab in the BIOS setup. Bump it up as small an increment as possible, usually .1v, and try to keep it under 2.9v.
 
Could be bad ram...I had the same set of errors with an a7n8x v 2.0 and kingston hyper-x ram. turns out the hyper-x is not compatable with a revision 2.0 nforce board. if you've got any other ddr to test with I'd try that before you up the voltage.
 
I went to try to up my ram voltage but I couldn't figure out what to change. under hardware monitor I see vcore voltage, +3.3v voltage, +5v voltage, and +12v voltage. Which is the one I will want to up to help me with this problem? And to what voltage should I change it to?
 
I think I found it, its under jumperfree configuration, have to change that to manual to get all the settings available. Then I see DDR refrence voltage. I can choose from 2.85, 2.75, 2.65, 2.55 and auto. What should I choose? (its on auto now).
 
Update your bios download the bios extract to a floppy boot disk and run the P4C81006.exe
Bios

Vdimm is your ram voltage normally it's 2.5v but you can usually up it to 2.8v ok.
Go to advanced section of bios select jumper free config and press enter. Change AI overclock tuner to manual. Then there should be a ddr reference voltage.
Try changing it to 2.65v

thank you very much, there is just one thing I dont get. You say a "floppy boot disk" is there a special way to make a floppy a boot disk or when I put the file on and choose to boot from a floppy will that work?

Upped the ram voltage to 2.65 and got a new errors 0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. So that didn't seem to work. I'm gonna try to update the bios now.
 
In windowsxp go to my computer right click your floppy drive and select format. Check the create a ms-dos startup disk. Then unzip the bios download and put the files
on the floppy restart and make sure the floppy is the first boot device. When you get to the a:/ prompt then put in P4C81006.exe and it'll flash the bios.
