win2k3 & SATA

So I finally got all the parts for my new dfi nf4 ultra build and plan on installing windows on my new raptor. This is my first rig that will boot from SATA and I just want to be clear on what to do before I start. I remember reading that to make SATA bootable you have to insert the drivers from a floppy when win2k asks for third party drivers. Is this still the case? Also the drivers I have are raid drivers. How do I go about setting up "just a bunch of drives" I have no need for any real raid. Finally is there any different procedure for win2k03? As this is the OS I'll likle use. Thanks in advance for any advice.

So you have two licenses to use a $1000 operating system on two PCs at home?

Even ignoring that fact, if you disable the visual tweaks in XP it should be just as responsive.

Windows 2k03 does not cost near $1000 and installing it on this machine (p4 will change to linux) will be one lisence. And I didn't ask for advice on how to spend my money or which OS to run. If you don't have anything constructive to say on topic ...
