Win2k3 Domain Duplicate Name Error

Two PC's on a Win2k3 domain network are getting an error message that a duplicate name exists. They are the only two PC's showing this problem. I'm not a Win2k3 admin by any means and I could really use some help. Each PC has a unique network id:
p21-064@mydomain.com
p23-064@mydomain.com
Please help!

I would disjoin from the domain, reboot, change the name, reboot, change the name back, delete the computer accounts from the domain, and readd them to the domain.

Thanks for your help. we ran a virus scan with something other than symantec and it found and removed something. So far, the problem seems to be resolved 🙂
