WIN2K, WIN98 LAN, with NetBEUI protocol question...

I have a LAN setup with a hub and NICs for a cable modem and I have used the NetBEUI protocol to setup the small LAN between the individual computers (attached to the same cable modem uplinked hub). I have shared files both ways and can only see and access the WIN98 files. I have setup a user account (from the administrators with a password and folder restrictions for the files I want to share from the WIN2K computer. When I go to access the WIN2K's files from the WIN98 computer it asks for a password and the password I type in is incorrect. What is the problem?

Are you logging into the 98 machine with the same user ID and password? You will need to have both user id's the same on both PC's. When you attempt to login to the Win2k pc, it will check what you are currently using. Any differences will prompt you to reenter the password.
