I've got a user that has changed his page file size to 1gig (not sure which partition?), he's got 256 MB of ram. He changed the page file size and now it has the initial and Max size that he's specified, but when he reboots he gets a message that the sysetm is low on V Mem, but his min and max sizes are still set, and yet the currently allocated size is only 20MB

Sorry this is so poorly written, but i'm in a rush

Thanks in advance!!

So something is using all of the pagefile. Troubleshoot the memory leak; don't just increase the pagefile.

Also check and ensure the System account has permissions to pagefile.sys.

1000 thank you's!!! it actually wasn't a permission set on the pagefile.sys its self, but rather on the root of the drive. The user had removed everyone except for himself in the permissions. Once we added the system account back in, everything was peachy!!!

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!!!!

You're in for more problems than that if he propogates those changes to the rest of the drive.

See Q266118 to restore default permissions to the entire drive. You'll save yourself lots of future headaches.
