Hi,

I've just installed Win2k Pro on my comp with an Ensoniq AudioPCI (ES1370) on it. What's strange is that when I output any sound to the wave output, the sound gets garbled once in a while. I'm using the default windows drivers from the windows CD.

My system has a Canopus Spectra 2500 (TNT 1) on it and it's acting rather oddly with Win2k. Whenever I increase the refresh rate above 60hz, the whole screen seems to be jerking. I've tried this with both the stock drivers and the latest Canopus drivers.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Win2K is picky, picky, picky.

At this point its almost like *IX, you sort of have to buy your hardware around the OS, try using the NVIDIA reference drivers from nvidias website, that might help.

The soundcard is probably always going to have issues, even Live! cards have issues for many people. If you can, try updating the drivers on it anyway, from the mfg's website, or try www.driverguide.com u: drivers p: all.

Actually I think now it's the problem with ACPI. Found out that my vid card, sound card and my network card are sharing the same IRQ. When I take out my sound card, my USB controller is using the IRQ that my sound card was using. When I placed it back in, 4 devices were using the same IRQ!
