Win2k Theme

Hey there,

I have just finished repairing a computer for a friend and it needed a fresh install of Windows. Because he didn't have the money to spend on XP or Vista we opted to use a copy of Windows 2000 that I had. Now, my friend isn't very computer savvy and so he doesn't like the old boring look that 2000 has. So I said I could try and get him a theme that would look cool and all. I remembered that Alienware has some for free, but alas, it is only for XP. I've looked around on Google and haven't found any sites that could help me out. Not even a Cha-Cha guide could help me 😛 So, help me out, do you know where I can get a theme that looks like XP for 2000?

Thanks a bunch!

Tell your friend that the default XP theme is hideous, and the classic look is better anyways. If that doesn't work, change the theme to "brick" or "high contrast" and don't show him how to change it back. Leave it for a day or two, and he will be begging you for the classic theme.

Meh, I found that I have a few problems in this build. The comp only recognizes 446MB of the 512MB RAM that's in it. Why is that? EDIT: Bah scratch that forgot there was onboard video.

And also, what's the 2000 equivalent to XP's MSCONFIG? I need to turn some things off but I can't figure out how.

Win2K did not support "themes."

And I as well like the classic windows theme. First thing I do with XP is turn all that shlt off.
