I have WIN2K install on a system but when I shutdown it just restart again. It didnt happen before, but now it does it all the time. Please help...Thank you.

This usually happens with motherboards that are not acpi compliant, but you said it worked before. Very odd.

To make it shut down, uncheck the APM under power management. You will still have to manually shut off the computer but windows will shut down. I realize that this is not the cure for the problem, but it is the best i can do.

Last resort would be to re-install win2k. Not alot of fun, but it should restore the original function. This will basically delete the Winnt directory.

When I try and shutdown I believe I get the Blue Screen of Death, but the refresh rate is so messed up I can see nothing. Basically I see a bunch of pinstripe lines on a blue background.

Happens every time from day 1. I have sp1 installed, APM is enabled, hibernate is off.

Any clues anyone?
