WIN2K Setup Questions

I am new to the WIN2K scene and am getting ready dual boot it with my existing WIN98SE. (it will go on its own partition of course) What I want to know is what to expect as far as set up options with WIN2K. I have heard that it is best to make yourself an administrator right off the bat, what ever that means. I need some insight here so I don't screw this up on the get-go. Any helpful sites anyone can recommended?!?

By default you will be administrator when you install. You don't have to put it on its own partition but it does make it cleaner to deal with. I just did it today. Just make sure that you put it on the partition you want it to and if it asks you if you want to upgrade or clean install pick the second option. There really aren't that many options in win 2k during install. You will get the customary Region settings bit but that should be mostly it. If you want other users to access the computer later on check the box that says users must log on. Remember the password that you put in though because its the master password.

Pretty much straight-forward.

youve probably heard it a 100x but if it isnt absolutely necessary to keep 98 then do a clean install; )
