Hi there,
I am fixing a friend's computer, and we are going to re-install Win2k, but one of his kids lost his CD. I was planning on using my Win2k CD to re-install Win2k on his computer, but I want to use his Windows Product Serial number so that way there is no piracy going on.
Is there a way to find the Product ke number on a machine that has Win2k installed, somewhere inside of the OS on the machine? I recall that there was a way to find the Windows 98 product key inside of Windows 98.
Is there a special utility/program I need to run to find the key on his machine, or is it somewhere easy to find?
Thanks,
