Win2k: Save Uername & Password for Network Systems

I am running Win2k Pro. My system is connected to a network with multiple clients. When Win2k boots up, it would attempt to log onto the shared drives from the clients, which are all mapped and set to logon upon bootup. Is there a way to set Win2k to save the users and passwords for each client? I get tired of typing in the passwords each time. In addition, Win2k would wait until I put in the passwords.

Let me get it straight.. you are basically mapping a drive letter to a network resouce shared out by a Win2K machine? or Win9x machine? If the share is Win9x then there is no way to save the information unless it is in user mode not shared mode. In other words the Win9x will need to adopt the security of the domain and use that to share out its folder/files. If it is a WinNT/2K machine just as long as the security matches up it should have no problem connecting.

In win9x you have to go to the properties of Network Neighborhood and go to the Access Tab. It defaults to Shared access, you need to switch to user and select a domain for it to fetch the security rights from.
