Hey guys,

Well i hope you can help me solve this problem asap! =).

Here it is. I had a Raid drive (2 x 20gb) with windows me installed on it. It was working fine till a few days now it's all goign crazy and i can't do anything in winme w/o it crashing. No matter if i reinstall or what i do there is nothing that works. I put a 2nd hard drive in the computer and installed win2k. It's loaded fine and everything works fine. I installed the dirvers for highpoint 370 and it is installed ok. now i need to get that raid drive to show up as drive d:. Right now it does not show up at all. What can i do to make it show up so i can copy some important files from it without formatting.

Well if you need more information just ask.

Thanks for looking even if you couldn't help.

in w2k, log in as adminstrator. Right click on my computer and choose 'manage'. Go to disk drives, which should show you all the drives physically on your computer. Your RAID should be there. Click on that, you should get the option to add an NT signature to activate the drive. Hope this helps.

I just tried that, and it's still not showing up. Could the driver be a problem? i can boot using the RAID drive into WinMe so now im thinking Driver issue. I'll try to reinstall the driver and see what happends.

Thanks for the information.

does the raid controller show the array as "online"? try booting to a bootdisk and go into fdisk. it should show it. then u can see if its your array or windows problem.

goodluck.

Thanks for the help guys. Reinstalling the Highpoint driver with an older version did it. The newer version does not work right w/the version flashed on the highpoint bios!

Thanks!
