Where should I goto find answers to some pretty simple questions about win2k, like what it the NT or 2k equivelant of MSCONFIG so I can remove those dam real player icons off my lil task bar where the time is.... and other things like that?

Or if you could just answer that one easy question I would really appreciate it.

I was wondering the same thing about MSCONFIG... With realplayer you can just tell reaplayer itself to fsck off... But I can't get the damn WSFTP Queue utility to go away! :|

I would not use real player at all but I like to watch SouthPark and Simpsons episodes that I download. I dont know of a way in real player to disable it....

Some Win2k user should know...

Might be worth u looking at TweakUI for Win2k

I dont use it but i think it may offer the options ur looking for 🙂

Have a root over at MS's site, its there somewhere 😉

If removing a program during startup is what you mean, you can always edit your run registry here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Remember to backup anything you delete so that you can always return back to it without having to worry on inputting the right string.

also try going in services and having a little looksies to see if you can disable from there.
also, a little proggy called startup control panel which lets you add\remove startup items in win2k.

if you cant find it let me know and i will email it to you.

ipconfig has nothing to do with affecting what runs at startup. realplayer icons in taskbar can be prevented from loading by disabling *all* startcenter options, however. (right-click, i think i recall something along the lines of startcenter options showing up in that context menu)
