Hey all. I had an extra HDD sitting around so I decided to install Win2k on it for the times when stability is essental. one problem. I own a Turtle Beach Montrego II plus sound card. I know that TB does not have drivers so i got the Vortex 2 refrence drivers from www.windrivers.com. i installed them and something wierd is going on with the system. When I boot into Win2k for the first time in a day, the startup noise plays almost till it is done, and then abruptly stops. From then on out i hear no audio from the system untill the next day, or untill i boot into 98SE. I know that the sound card and speakers must be working so, i also know that there is something wrong with the install of Windows 2000.
Has anyone else experenced this problem? Does anyone know what I might be able to do to fix it?

thanks in advance,

You are having a driver issue. It looks like the drivers that you installed really do not work with the sound card. I would contact TB and find out if they do have a Windows 2000 driver for your card.

no one else has any idea??? cause i dled the latest aureal ref drivers, which should work with the card....and it dosent...

please help!!!
