win2k problem: uninstalling easy cd

hey, can someone help me or point me in the right direction?

i'm trying to uninstall easy cd creator from win2k and when i go to add/remove programs and press the remove button for easy cd, windows installer comes on and then tells me that the program i am trying to use is on a cd rom and to insert the cd rom. i insert the cd rom but it still can't find the program.

thanks in advance.

Try installing it again? Put the CD in and run the install again. Then check the Add/Remove Programs again. I use Easy CD Creator with Win2k as well.

<edit> Did you have issues on the install?

<edit x 2> BTW... I don't remember if there are any options on the install. If there are, make sure you're using a full install. Also, What version are you running?

well, i just upgraded from windows me to windows 2000.

after the upgrade, i noticed that easy cd no longer works or recognizes blank cds that are inserted into the cd-r drive.

now i'm trying to reinstall/uninstall but it won't work.
when i insert the install disc, it says that it detects it and asks me if i would like to install. i say yes but then it goes to the same popup that says the installer is on a cdrom, please insert the cdrom.

Go to the roxio.com site and search the support knowledge base. I've read that there are known problems with uninstalling Easy CD Creator and you need to follow their instructions carefully to avoid hosing up your system.

donot i repeat donot restart the computer after installing EasyCDcreator5 on a win2k machine without installing the patch from their website...if you did then u are in for some trouble.
