WIN2k problem challenge!!

I've been having a lot of problems recently with WIN2k PRO.

1. I have lost the ability to grag and drop files, and now have to cut and paste them to different folders.
2. Whenever I goto start >> Search >> files or folders, I click on it but no dialog box appears
3. I also can't search in IE 5.5, since the find dialog never pops up there
4. Also whenver I try to access Event Viewer or most other Admin apps, I get the error of mmc.exe and error in memory handling..
5. Also I cannot run any javascripts via IE 5.5, but I can run everything under netscape...

any help would be really appreciated!

If I were having problems like that, I'd backup the data and then do a re-format and re-install Win2K.

i concur. that sounds pretty bad.

backup , then try re-installing internet exployer

Before re-installing, try and make a repair disk, look under the built-in help and search for it, and then repair your installation, and see if that fixes things. This way you won't have to re-install any apps you currently have, but I would definately recommend backing up important data even before doing this.
