all my machines on my network that include windows 98 to win2k pro all can login to the win2k server domain. there are about 25 in total. but, two of the win2k pro machines cannot login. i get the message that it cannot find the domain. but these two machines can see the server in Network Neighborhood and open up shares. tcp/ip, netbuie, and wins is installed on the win2k server and win2k pro machines. DNS must be set up properly since the other win2k pro machines can login. also, we used the same serial # and installation disk for the two win2k pro machine tha cannot login. but, we have a site license that is more than adequate for the the number of win2k pro machines on the network.
any help would be helpful at this moment would be helpful.
thanks..

Try manually entering DNS server IP address to the 2 w2k pro machine that are having difficulty. FYI w2k machines don't need WINS only DNS is required, WINS is used for downlevel clients only.

try to statically assign ip addresses to the 2 clients.... and the manualy dns entries are also a good thing.....also if these win2k boxes have more than one nic, try reassigning to the bindings.

Try going into Control Panel/Users and then add the user that you want to have access to the server. If you get their login/pass from the server and then add with the following info:

User: whatever
Pass: whatever
Domain: put the primary domain controller here

You will have to add them as Administrator however.
