hi guys,

this only just happened recently when i upgraded to a c1100 from my old c366@555 ... when i do a shutdown, it does a restart instead. restart will restart the pc, and hibernate hibernates the pc (but doesnt shutdown the PS and i have to pull the PS cord to shut down the PS). does anyone know what is going on here? thanks!

well since no one else was kind enough to offer any advice, i went about fiddling and here's what i found, so that others might profit from my experience.

disabling APM support kind of did it. i said kind of because it wouldn't restart when i clicked shutdown, it would shutdown and give me the "it is now safe to turn of your pc" msg. however, it wouldnt power off the powersupply.

now its time to figure out how to get it to power off the powersupply ... i'd appreciate any comments.

hey derango, thanks for ur reply.

i presume u mean to say that turning on apm will also poweroff the powersupply when i shutdown. i tried that, but everytime i turn apm on, it does a restart when i choose shutdown. the only way i can get it to shutdown is to disable apm, but doing that will not poweroff the powersupply. am i missing something here?
