right click on my comp, then do "manage".. or do admin tools in ctrl pannel.

Whitedog, i think i'll pass on that solution :)

added: tho, you should have a users and passwords icon there.. are you logged in as admin or a user that has admin rights?

Dood, if you're running 2K server, just set it up as a domain, create an account for the 98 box, put the client on the 98 box and just log in...?

Dood, if I knew how to do that, I'd be all set. Thats my problem, I'm not sure how to do those things. Please excuse my ignorance, but I just installed win2k on my 2nd system and I have never used it before.

Oh, well sd, don't get discouraged... it take a LOT of playing with and practice to learn Win2K. Just hang in there. You'll get the jist of it.

I'm not going to try to explain how to, it is a lot of clicking and I'm not that good at explaining things in simple terms... hehehe

Someone might be able to supply you with some good links to some good pages with info on setting up a server. I know there are plenty websites out there... just don't know the links :(

Good luck!

click on the Start menu, then "programs," then "administrative tools," then "active directory users and computers"

should be under the users folder (on the left).

Do you have "Computer Management"? if so, see if "Local Users and Groups" is in there
