Ok for some reason I keep locking up in Win2K... The event log shows 2 different things happening everytime this happens.

The one that happens first is... PerfNet, when I open up the error it says this... "Unable to open Server Service. Server performance data will not be returned. Error code returned is in data DWORD 0." Then under data it shows 0000: c0000034

About 5 seconds later this error comes up.... perfcrts... when I open up this error it says "Unable to read IO control information from NBT device"

The only thing I can think of is my modem.... I know its defective... but it just stops transmiting every few minutes... could that be the cause of this?

Oh I just noticed it shows something else... it doesnt anymore cause I changed my startup stuff and thats why I didnt notice it. But when I scrolled down to older errors this showed up.... It happened about 30 seconds before the other errors I showed you.... It says

"The IP Security policy for ISAKMP/Oakler specified an encryption algorith that is invalid due to explort cryptography restrictions. All 3DES encyrption use by ISAKMP/Oakler will still be able to negotiate IP secutiry parameters, and protect that negotiation with DES encryption. This should only be of concern if you demand that the ISAKMP/Oaklet negotiation be protected with 3DES Encryption"

Well its of notice to me be cause it proceds my all of my lockup errors every single time.

The first symptom you posted is a known problem in Windows 2000, and has a solution on Microsoft's Knowledge Base here.
