Win2k IPX network troubles

So i'm on a lan with 50 other people in my fraternity. I can never play lan games with them, like ct or ut or quake III or sc, because whenever i try to join the host computer crashes, and other people hang for a few seconds. I was browsing my system info, and under "problem devices", i have "wan miniport (network monitor)" and "wan miniport (IPX)", both with error codes of 22. Does anybody know what my problem is or how to fix it?
 
del your network card and reinstall it.. do not install ipx.. ct ut and q3 all use tcp/ip also make sure all ips are in same subnet
