i'm trying to upgrade from winME to win2k professional... when i start the upgrade, everything is fine and it gets to the point where it says 'installation will take 50 - 70 minutes. your computer will restart 4 times. you do not need to do anything for the installation. everything is fully automated.' or something like that.
but the first time the computer restarts i get a bluescreen error that says 'unexpected_kernel_mode_trap' it says to check my memory and my video card...
i have a voodoo3 2000. and 64mb of edo ram.
i'm running on one of those upgrade processors from Evergreen technologies. it's a k6-2 400... my motherboard is an old Intel Advanced/EV board... uses the FX chipset i think. i have a feeling that's why win2k isn't working for me... anyone know this for sure? or can anyone help me out with that error message?
thanks.
