Win2k Install.

Like the title says, I'm gonna install Win2k on my existing pc that uses ME, which really sucks thus the reason for the change. Anyway, my plan is to format the HD to get rid of any useless crap (believe me, there is a lot of it) then I want to install a fresh copy of Win2k. Now, since the copy I have is on CD and I have no floppy disk, how do I go about doing this? On start-up I changed the system properties so that the Cd-rom drive is the first bootable device. Is that all I have to do? Will that change when I format? Since the default first boot object generally is the floppy A drive. Any help would be great because I'm getting increasingly tired of Win ME.

Thanks guys.

just boot the cdrom, and install win2k. youll have the option to format the hd to which you are installing. dont worry about the boot options, those are part of the BIOS, they will remain the same till you change them. :)

Cool, so I just toss the CD into the D: drive, and go from there?

Wow, that saves me an assload of time. Thanks man.

And the Win 2k CD should have the set of boot floppy images on it. So you can make them if you want them while running your current OS.
