Win2k, how to disable ps/2 port?

My friend keeps getting new hardware found on every boot, he is trying to remove the ps/2 port as he uses a usb keyboard. It is just cosmetic (the ! in system manager)...is there a way to permanently remove.

that's usually in your bios if it's possible, rather than part of win2k. you could just leave it tho, and stop trying to remove it. or possibly disable it (the mouse at least, probably not the keyboard port).

im having a prob in 98... on the kt7a mobo... but all i see in bios is for ps/2 keyboard which is enable/disable..

mine is not detecting the ps/2 mouse during windows install!? uhhg..

the keyboard works fine though... strange...

any ideas?

or does someone know if there really is something in bios im just not seeing?
