Win2k won't boot, it gives me STOP errors. "PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED". I don't have any unesscary hardware installed, just the harddrive, dvdrom, and video card. All of my hardware is compatible. What could be wrong? Please help. I got to send some files to my friend for his project by tomorrow morning!

Overclocked? Memory clocked up?
HD hooked up to default controller?

Latest BIOS and latest drivers for any ATA 66 controller?

No overclocking here, what do you mean default controller?

Latest drivers for the HighPoint thign. I haven't upgraded the BIOS yet, it looks pretty hard thoguh.

try moving the hard disks to the non-highpoint controller, see if the system boots correctly. (may be yet another highpoint / Win2k problem)

- According to the Pic's I've seen of your board, should be the black IDE connectors, not the orange ones.

if i use the non-highpoint connecteros, then i'd be running at ata33, which i don't want.

I think the point he's making is, is that even if you are at "ata33", if your computer is able to boot, and then load up Windows, it will be easier to send your friend his project files in the morning than at "ata(it just wont boot)" Then you can hash out the driver/bios problem with you're highpoint controller later.

I have seen the same problems before when using the HighPoint controllers

To test to see if this is what is giving you your error put the hard drives on the ATA 33 channels. If this is the case you may have to reinstall the highpoint drivers for your board.
