WIN2k file sharing options question

Hmm..just wondering if it is possible to share say...a folder called download and give permission to other computers on the lan to read from it, add files to it..but not having ability to delete or alter the folder besides just adding files to it...

sure is, just right click on the folder, got to sharing, and you can set permissions based upon users. so just add what computers you want to have access, and you can define read-only permission for them individually

Hmm can someone walk me through this...never used file sharing with Win2k or nt based systems before...lol...BTW...I can only set it so others can read...but they can't add anything...if i check the box to allow change they can add stuff but it also makes it so that people can delete stuff...

Assign read and write permissions to the creator/owner group. Leave the everyone group with read only. Wait, that won't work. hmmmm... let me think... damnit if i was at home i would pull out my trusty 7 volume set of how to use win2k and tell you. I'll try it and see.
