i don't know wha is wrong with it but sometimes i turn of the computer the system doesn't turn offfff it is stuck at the saving user preferences and i have to hit the power button is there any where to fix this ?
software conflict ?

I have the same problem at times. I think (knowing the NT system) it is probably waiting for a hung process to quit, or something is failing while shutting down causing the system to appear to hang. I find that if I really wait (5-10 minutes) it will actually get to the 'shut down now' screen.

Type ctrl+alt+del and go to task manager and see what application is not responding. If you find one try ending it. This may provide you with a good shutdownm maybe not. It will tell you what program is giving you trouble and you can go from there.
