win2k doesn't see network?

I reinstalled my satallite modem yesterday and since then I can't access the network anymore. If i go into network places it say's that "the network is not present or not started" I can play games and the other comps on the network can share the internet connection. So the network is working I just can't see drives or folders. Also if I go to system and try to change the workgroup or network ID they are both greyed out. I have never run in to this and it's got me stumped. ( not that it's hard to stump me) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
I finally figured it out. I needed to have client for microsoft networks in the protocals for it to get on to the network. I have never run into that before. It was just a stupid oversight.
