My computer's display setting is currently set at True Color 32-bit at 1152x864. For some reason, the colors changed to 256 colors and it keeps the same colors although i change the colors back to 32-bit. How are you supposed to fix this?
 
What kind of video do you have? It sounds like you do not have enough memory to support the high resolution with the full color depth.

I have an ATI Rage 2x Pro with 8 mb connected with a Voodoo2 1000 12 mb... The colors seemed to work fine before this....
