Win2k creative 400mx card crash

Oi oi, I got a problem, a friend of mine upgraded his puter with a celeron 800/100mhz, a creative geeforce 400mx card and some more memory. After a hell of crap and bugfinding I finaly got win2k to run stable in diablo2 who crashed at the intro screen before...

The weird thing now though is that when we try to multitask out from diablo 2 into explorer the damn puter hangs itself. The same goes when we try to start a football game called fifa2001.

What are the other system specs? (motherboard, soundcard etc.)

motherboard epox ep-d3va, soundcard vortex aureal 8820

If you uninstall all drivers, shut down the PC and take out all cards except the videocard, does the system run stable?

Also, what are the temperatures of the CPU, mobo etc.? How much Watt is the PSU (powersupply)?

hmms it is only a 250W's, temp is about 35 degree celsius after half a days run so no probs there

and yea it runs stable with only the graphics card. Been checking for irq/memory share irqs, but notthing.

The PSU is a bit on the low side, but it might be sufficient.

If you put a different soundcard in this system, does it run stable?

Yea it does, so there is a hardware problemo there, the card work fine on another machine though, and ofcourse this new one is a isa card which such

Okay, the soundcard appears to be the culprit. Can you try it with a PCI soundcard to verify this?
