I installed millenium on my first partition of 20 gigs, then proceeded to install 2000 on my other 20 gig partition. It seems to be crashing when i explore the web? for some reason, i've installed the service pack, and ie 5.5, but it's still doing it, and just a total lockup, nothing else, have to manually reboot. Anyone know what might be causing this? Thank you!

Aaron1982: Your full of sh!t, win2k is the best OS ever made next to dos.

I've got the Via 4 in 1 drivers version 4.25a. I belive these are the lastest non beta ones.

It seems to be, it doesn't like my 150 fsb setting, I think it's quite stupid that winMe or 98 run fine with that, but then 2k has a problem with it. Anyone have any advice on to which drivers for via work best with high oc? thanks!

Your system might not be 100% stable at 150mhz fsb and Win2k is much more demanding the win98/ME so your system crashes, and if it's while browsing through the net it might be your memory, since win2k uses more of it, it might put more straine on it, thus making your system unstable, try to back down your memory times to say cas 3 for a start.

yep, pretty much was testing everything last night and this morning, and yep, it was the ram, not the fsb. I kept it at cas 2, but backed down to 145, but upped the multiplier, and now i'm running 1015 at 1.7v solid as a rock. Thanks for the help guys! And if anyone has any opinions on which drivers to use, please post it.

<< because win2k is a peice of junk on via systems >>

Windows 2000 is so much better than ME and even 98 ! Talk about stable. Its the only OS my system REALLY works on... What I mean by works is: It doesn't hardly ever crash, I can leave it on 24/7 and its just so damn fast !!

VIA systems in general may not be as stable as Intel chipsets (some believe this, some don't) But that would not have anything to do with this situation..
