I had some trouble installing win2k bout a month ago and the problem ended up being a faulty kningmax ram modul.

nways win2k got installed twice accidently so win2k bootup automaticaly boot in the dual boot option in the start up which takes 20secs and if i leave it, it defaults to the wrong install.

the computer only has one copy of win2k installed now and only one winnt file.

how do i get rid of the dual boot option???

please help. BuLL

your dual boot is controlled by the hidden system files "boot.ini" in your c: root drive. simply make sure you have "show hidden files" enabled and open boot.ini in a text editor. then simply delete the line referencing your old win2k install, set the countdown timer to "0" and that boot loader won't bother you again
